Taking charge of the fourth largest shelter in the state, Claire’s days are varied and never dull, she regularly liaises with our other regional shelters, the Head Office at Burwood East and local councils. Claire’s day commences by greeting staff and getting the day’s jobs underway. Claire is not afraid to get her hands dirty and also helps out with the hands-on work, such as cleaning and feeding the animals.Claire loves spending time with the animals and getting to know them when she can. Claire is delighted when animals can find their forever homes after seeing them come in, in a sad and quite often poor condition.
Claire strives for excellence and acknowledges that her job can be unpredictable, things will go crazy from time to time but that’s what is challenging to her and brings out her best.Adoption centre Each year, more than 950 dogs and cats find second chances through our Ballarat adoption program.
